I leave you for a day and craziness ensues...

It's unfortunate, but people are often the most judgmental about things they don't have a clue about. I'm like that sometimes too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8006031035787773344.post-1512845942746619382008-08-22T06:37:00.000-05:002008-08-22T06:37:00.000-05:00Props to the deletion. People need to remember too that a blog is never the complete story... you can't judge somebody based on the stories they post, because they're never telling the WHOLE story, whether on purpose or not. And what I've found? A lot of the people who blast WLS... don't have insurance coverage for it. I bet if they did, 99% of them would be on the table in no time flat.Meghanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07629937220018719769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8006031035787773344.post-36445392041968696812008-08-21T18:24:00.000-05:002008-08-21T18:24:00.000-05:00To the harassing reader (and really, to us all):"D...To the harassing reader (and really, to us all):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

Matthew 7:1-5

In summary, we don't have to agree with one another about every minute issue, but we do have to look at our own hearts, motivations, and desires and ask ourselves, "Am I the best I can be? Am I what Christ wants me to be?" If not (and no one is), then we need to work towards that end. And we will ALL be working until our days are finished! And in the meantime, none of us is qualified to sit in judgement about another's choices in life.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8006031035787773344.post-4909519299307099152008-08-21T17:25:00.000-05:002008-08-21T17:25:00.000-05:00VERY WELL SAID! People who think they know it all...VERY WELL SAID! People who think they know it all have no idea what it is like on this side of a weight problem that you have spent your entire life trying to cure. If they don't agree with it, fine, don't have the surgery. If it makes you feel better, work for a company whose insurance doesn't cover WLS. Whatever floats your boat and makes you feel justified.

But as you said, Kim, we do pay lots of bucks for insurance to cover addictions to drugs and alcohol as well as to treat people who have spent their lives smoking.

It must be wonderful for your commentor to live such a clean life, with no problems at all (because surely, she must not have any if she can't even attempt to understand someone else's issues). Wish we could all be so lucky. How is that living in a bubble working for you?

I'm sorry, I just get really, really angry at judgmental people. Walk in Kim's shoes for awhile, or mine; then report back and let's see how it feels. Unfortunately, you can't do that, so maybe it is better that she get her own blog so she write her opinions all over it.

You were right to delete the comments. No one needs that kind of narrow minded negativity.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
