Friday Favorites 1

For those of you that might not know, I decided to take Friday Favorites in a different direction. I was inspired by a post that Kristen does over at We Are THAT Family - she calls it the THAT Family Tree... and some of the answers that get sent in to her questionnaire are priceless. I loved the idea of sharing pieces of the bloggers that I love on Fridays - because I think that they are all truly treasures!

So, I sent out my questionnaire to the blog friends in my address book - and thus is born a weekly introduction to my favorite blogs. This being said... let me also tell you that I'm open to including anyone that wants a part of this in on the fun - the initial blogs that will be listed are blogs that I know well, because they've turned it in first.... BUT you can get in on the action by leaving me your email in the comments section, and I'll shoot you the questionnaire. Potentially by the time you get to be the Friday Favorite... we might be long distance blog buddies!

Our favorite this week is Laurie from Adventures of Gastric Girl - she's in the midst of a 30x30 challenge, where she has committed to working out for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. She's sharing with us the different workouts she is trying... so be sure to check her out.

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I am a 33 year old Houstonian who had gastric bypass surgery in 2007. I’m on a mission to lose those last 10 pesky pounds!

2) Tell us your mission/goal for your blog:

My blog is just my online diary. I share whatever I feel like sharing, and love getting feedback from people. One day may be full of great ideas, the other may be a vent fest… you never know!

3) Tell us about your favorite post or your best inspiration:

My favorite post of mine would have to be my Beck Diet Solution Day 1 post as it was a very tough post for me, with lots of soul searching. Every blog I read inspires me in one form or another. We are all different people, with different stories, but are going through the same journeys. It’s great seeing other people’s outlooks!

4) Tell us one thing you can’t live without: (this could be animal, vegetable, or mineral – it’s up to you)

This list would get too long if I chose people, animals, etc.. so I’ll keep it simple. My iPod. I would NOT be able to complete a workout without it!

5) Tell us something funny/interesting about you:

I went from being an overboard shopaholic pre-surgery (I had over 60 pairs of jeans in a range of many, many sizes) to now being one of the pickiest shoppers in the world. It’s a GREAT improvement for me, even though it’s frustrating at times! LOL

6) Tell us how we can find you to read for ourselves: (your blog address)
