My goodness, I think that the germs of the world have united to try to take out the Hawkins family lately... I think James has been sick for most of the last three weeks - off and on... he started with a cold. Both boys had that problem, actually.
Then this week, while Daddy was out of town - James caught a stomach bug. It was awful... there was lots of spewing - and in a matter of one night... I had to strip two beds and change James and I into 4 different outfits a piece! After three days, I think he's on the mend...
Of course, though... now I have it. UGH! I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well... and ended up laying on the floor of our shower for a while. Glamorous life I lead, right?! I didn't even get out of bed today until well into the afternoon... John and James went to do our grocery shopping, and came back with a Sonic iced tea for me - it's my favorite next to Starbucks... and then they made my favorite soup. It's a Chicken and Wild Rice soup recipe that we fell in love with last fall, I think.
I just had some of the soup - which is my first meal today, and I'm about to head back to bed. Hopefully, we'll all be healthy this next week and we can get down to the business of preparing for Christmas and celebrating the season.
