Today was my last day at work before the surgery and it went well. Everyone there has been so supportive of my decision to have this surgery, and are all so excited and interested to watch what happens from here.
My pastor's lovely wife, Amy, came over tonight to pray with John and I before the surgery... she is so wonderful! I appreciate her thoughtfulness so much, but she asked an interesting question... what can my church family do to help with my recovery. Isn't that interesting? Not in a bad way, but I just think that it is so interesting that I can't think of much that people could do since cooking for me isn't an option.
Our lives revolve around food so much - it's certainly going to be interesting to watch that transformation!
The title of my post is "Sick of Food" and I have actually hit a place where I don't want to eat anything else!! I'm so full that there just isn't anything else that I want. We'll see what I'm saying tomorrow afternoon when I get good and hungry... but I haven't wanted anything since lunch today - but I'll probably force myself to eat a little something before I go to bed tonight - just because I'll need it tomorrow.
Good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Ashley can still feed the dogs if you need her to. She would love to help.
