Getting Started

Today, I started working on getting back into my healthy eating plan... and continuing on with the other goals that I've set for myself. I've been successfully taking my vitamins everyday for almost a week now, and stayed right around my calorie goal for today too. As a bonus - I am right on target with my water as well!

Here is my daily food diary for anyone that is interested.

For those of you that might be new to my blog - I'm trying to keep my calorie intake around 1,200 for the day. I am supposed to keep my protein level around 90 grams for the day - today I did really well, but I got a big boost from my shake this morning. I shoot for at least 64 ounces of water... and my vitamin list consists of:
  1. 2 Flintstones multi-vitamins (they are recommended for WLS patients)
  2. 2 Caltrate with vitamin D (1,200 mg calcium)
  3. 1 B-12 dot (500 mcg)
  4. 1 Biotin (1,000 mcg)
I hope that in a few more days, I'll be back to feeling great - and be ready to kick start my workout plan as well. I'm trying to take it all in baby steps, because I read somewhere that if you overwhelm yourself with everything at once - it's harder to keep up with things. If you add a little bit at a time it isn't as big of a shock to the system... so here's hoping!

I so desperately want to get this going and keep it up... I just might have to work out everyday for the rest of my life, because once I get things moving in the right direction - any changes from my routine tend to send me spiraling off into losing control of my whole program.
