Q&A Wednesday

We've got a short list today, but good questions!!

Becky asked:

Do you have baby names picked out and what are they?

I have thought about it, and have a girls name picked out - at least the first name, Bailey... trying to decide on what would be the best middle name. I've got several boys names that I like, but haven't really set my heart on any single one yet. I tend to lean toward names that are a little bit unique, but not completely out of the ordinary... I love names like Addison, Carson, Harper, Tyler, and Braden. That isn't an exhaustive list of names that I like by any stretch of the imagination, but it's early!

Jenn asked:

What's on your bucket list?

Besides the obvious of having children... I guess things that I have some control over - I'd say:
  • Write a book
  • Go to New York City again
  • Go to Washington, D.C. again
  • Go to Disney World again - but go long enough to enjoy all of the attractions!
  • Meet my blog friends... Meghan, Lacy, Kim, Jenn I., Nicole, and Summer - for starters!
When you go to Starbucks, what do you order?

99.9% of the time it's a Grande Nonfat, No Whip Mocha... but sometimes when I need an extra treat - I'll have the whip and go for the regular milk (2%) instead of the skim. One of these days - I'll try an iced mocha, but I'm scared that I'm going to hate it - and $3.84 is a lot to pay for something that you might not like.

How do you like to spend time with your girlfriends?

I'm pretty open on this - because the best girlfriends are those that you can enjoy doing just about anything with. Like the friend that you can go run errands (like a Wal*Mart run - Renee) with and still have a TON of laughs.

I think that doing things that are relaxing are always nice... a chick-flick, scrapbooking, shopping, grabbing a meal, or even just sitting and chatting... baking together is always fun too though.

I don't have many girlfriends that I do these things with, but those that I do have - are VERY dear to my heart. Unfortunately some of the women that I would LOVE to do these things with live several states away... but there's always Girls Night Outs in heaven, right?

*** edited to add: Jenn asked:

If you had to choose between living with Britney Spears or Paris Hilton, who would you choose as your roommate and why?

I think I'd choose Britney Spears because there just isn't any escaping Paris Hilton being a princess. Britney at least has some down home roots, and while she's on her meds... I think she's probably fairly tollerable to live with. At least she sometimes has a brain... Paris - notsomuch.

Did you ever have recurring dreams as a child? If not, what is the strangest dream you've ever had?

Sadly, I'm the person that can wake up and not remember a single bit of a dream. Some mornings - I will wake up and know that I had a weird or bad dream, but won't be able to articulate what the weird or bad parts were to John. Rarely, I can mention things to him - but not very often, and by the time we leave the house for work or whatever - it's completely left my mind for good.

I know you all want to know how this is going too right?

Well, I've made it through Day 2... and the 30 Day challenge on the EA Sports Active game is tougher than I thought - but I can tell that it's a GOOD workout for me. The workouts are hovering around 20 minutes right now, but they are tough - and I'm sweating... I love that it'll work out and gradually get harder, and that it takes the guess work out of which muscle groups to work when. It alternates between doing both, lower, both, upper... and so on. (or that is the pattern that I think it is setting.) The only main difference is that it isn't an everyday program - it's 5 days a week, but I'm going to fill in on the other days with my own activities since my challenge was 20-30 minutes a day for 30 days.

At the end of June - I'll probably push myself up to the middle level on the 30 day challenge and try to continue working out at least 5 days a week. Then once I complete that - I'll go for the highest level.

Right now I'm having my butt kicked on the lowest level, but I'm enjoying it. There are about 13 of us doing the challenge that I know of - so it's helping me in knowing that I've motivated all of these people to do something... and makes me think twice about wimping out!

  1. As soon as I read "Bailey", I thought to myself "Bailey Hawkins"...if THAT'S not a southern/Texas kinda name, then I don't know what is! I love it!

As for the roommate question I asked, I'd take Paris. Why? It's simple - she'd never be home and we'd probably have some awful nice digs! :-)

  2. You could do number 4 on your bucket list and knock out part of number 5 at the same time... I'm right around the corner from Disney!!

I'd rather live with Paris too... Britney has the noisy kids and incessant cheetos. I don't want to be around cheetos. I think I'd gain weight living with Britney and lose weight living with Paris! :)
