Things around these parts have been a complete mix of family, food & fun. We have been extremely busy for about the last month, and I'm barely keeping my head above water -- it's been a frenzy of preparations, baking, shopping, traveling, wrapping, and celebrating. I wouldn't have it any other way... but I do think that I'm getting closer and closer to the point where I want to retreat to my house for a while and get back in some sort of routine.
I haven't forgotten my promise to blog every day in 2013... and hopefully beyond. I am a much better writer and blogger when I commit to it, so here I am. You're about to see a lot more of me! I've got 4 Christmas celebrations to share with you, cookie boxes for John's employees to tell you all about, and my goals for the New Year... which likely won't be typed out until January 1st. I'll be working on them over the weekend in my (please oh please Christmas #4 deliver!) Erin Condren Life Planner.
The boys have traveled much better this year than ever before, but it's still hard with toddlers because routines are broken and for me... the worst is chasing after them because most other people don't have their homes child proofed! I am constantly in fear while traveling of what they are going to break... and the grandparents are much more stressed about the boys getting hurt. I'm more of a "if you don't listen when I tell you not to do it... see what happens and find out for yourself" type of parent. I hear a LOT of "get him" and the like.
I hope your holiday season is blessed beyond measure... ours certainly has been wonderful. The boys haven't been completely consumed with the wonder of the season just yet, but I think by next year - it'll be magical. I would have loved to been able to watch Christmas movies with them on our way home to Texas for Christmas, but they just don't have the attention span for that... and they're obsessed with Baby Einstein movies still. I can barely get them to watch anything else!
So, with that friends... as we settle back in at home -- bare with me, but I'm going to come back live and with a daily flourish come January 1st! Now would be a GREAT time for you guys to weigh in on what you want to read more about...let me know in the comments what you'd like to hear about: regular features, single post topics... speak now.
