Full to the Top

Tonight, I'm writing having just had a "big" dinner. My Mom and I went to a local favorite Italian restaurant that I haven't been to since I was in high school... it was fun. It's a really cute place with that old time Italian restaurant feel - you know the drippy candles and red checkered table cloths... very cute!

My day was a little slower with my Mom being back at work - I had coffee (okay really I sat and talked while others had coffee) and visited with Meme and my Aunt, Tere, this morning after dropping my Mom off at the office. From there I did some minor shopping around town - I think I spent all of $13 today - so I can't say that I did a whole lot of shopping.

I went back and picked Mom up for lunch, went with her to a doctor's appointment... took her back to work... came to her house to check emails, went back for another visit with Meme... and then dinner... so slower pace for today, but fun to explore a "new" town. I say new - only because I'm not used to it on a daily basis... I only come out here about once a year or less... but I did live here for a year when I was younger, and have been coming here all my life... so some of it does come from memory. The difference is that the town is growing so it's fun to drive around and see what parts of my world are making out to the small town on the opposite side of Texas.

I think I'm going to keep this short for now because I'm a little sleepy, and my Mom's little 5 pound poodle is nudging me and wants to play... so with only one more full day here - I'll give her some attention now that she's decided that I'm a pretty cool person.
